4. Terms And Definitions:
4.1. Personal PC PDA - Short for personal digital assistant, a handheld device that combines computing, telephone/fax, Internet and networking features. A typical PDA can function as a cellular phone; fax sender, Web browser and personal organizer. Unlike portable computers, most PDAs began as pen-based, using a stylus rather than a keyboard for input. This means that they also incorporated handwriting recognition features. Some PDAs can also react to voice input by using voice recognition technologies. PDAs of today are available in either a stylus or keyboard version.4.2. Transflective - A type of LCD screen in which the pixels are illuminated from both the front of the monitor’s screen and from behind the screen, combining the illumination characteristics of both transmissive and reflective technologies. Transflective LCDs work under any lighting condition, from complete darkness to bright sunlight. 4.3. USB - Universal Serial Bus. A connection standard for quick and easy device connection to a computer that supports up to 127 devices per USB interface. This technology relatively recent, but is widely used, and may one day supersede the original serial interface.4.4. BlueTooth - A short-range radio technology aimed at simplifying communications among Internet devices and between devices and the Internet. It also aims to simplify data synchronization between Internet devices and other computers.
