PC Standard Laptop Computer

1. General Statement of Purpose:

1.1. The purpose of this standard is to list the items that must be procured for a standard personal computer for typical clients utilizing OKDHS/DSD services.


2.  Scope:

2.1. This standard includes hardware and operating software, but does not include standard office and productivity applications, which would normally be installed on the laptop computer after receipt of the configuration described in this standard.

NTFS - NTFS is a high-performance and self-healing file system proprietary to Windows XP 2000 NT, which supports file-level security, compression and auditing.  It also supports large volumes and powerful storage solutions such as RAID.  NTFS also has the ability to encrypt files and folders to protect sensitive data.
