Unit Information
LIHEAP Program logo This unit, in cooperation with the federal government, provides seasonal assistance to low-income households to assist with winter heating bills, and to provide help for some families who have received utility cut-off notices. OKDHS contracts with the Oklahoma Dept. of Commerce to provide weatherization services for eligible families. Applications are taken at local OKDHS Human Services Centers.

The Energy Crisis Assistance Program (ECAP) begins Monday, March 22, 2010. Local Human Services centers will begin taking applications on that date. 

ECAP is available to prevent disconnect, restore service or provide a minimum delivery of propane/heating fuel. ECAP requires a threat of immediate cutoff (within 72 hours of application).
