About Us


The State Office of the Field Operations Division administers all county delivered programs of the Division of Children and Family Services, Family Support Services, Aging Service Division and AIDS Coordination and Information Services. 

This administration includes:

  • Assurance of accurate and timely delivery of services to the eligible clients of the programs;
  • Development of client resources within the community
    issuance of Invitations;
  • To Bid approving contracts for client services coordination of service delivery with the community and other state agencies;
  • Supervision of all direct service delivery and support staff;
  • Assuring  compliance with all federal and state labor regulations
    payroll;
  • Operation of the county offices, telephones, computers including LANs, maintenance and repairs; and
  • Supplies meeting with clients and client advocacy groups to assure client needs are provided. 


These activities are not inclusive, but are examples of the activities and responsibilities of this division.

The division includes six Area Offices operated by six Area Directors.  The Area Directors and their staff are responsible for direct supervision of 72 County Directors in County office locations statewide.

The 72 County Directors are responsible for 4100 staff who provide the above listed services.  These County Directors are also the primary spokespersons for OKDHS in their county offices, and in addition to the programs directly supervised, they have administrative accountability for Long Term Care, DDSD, CSEU, and Adoptions.
