Technology and Governance Unit: Training Section
Section Information
The Technology and Governance KIDS Training Section provides training to Children and Family Services Division management and field staff. A multi-level training approach for using the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS) (Link opens in new window) known as KIDS is utilized. The training focuses on collection and compliance with various federally mandated reports and requirements.
Staff receives formal hands-on training in the classroom setting, one-on-one KIDS reports training, and online training modules. The training is designed to help users learn the complexities of the application, and how to maximize its use. The section also provides training for eKIDS users.
eKIDS is an application that allows limited access to the SACWIS system to parties outside the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS), including judges, tribes, and agencies with OKDHS contracts that work with the families involved in the child welfare system.
