- Children shall not be:
(a) forced to participate in publicity or promotional activities; or (b) publicly identified to their embarrassment as wards of the agency.
- All children shall be provided an opportunity to participate in religious services.
- Each child shall be supplied with facilities and supplies for personal care, hygiene and grooming.
- Each child shall be supplied with his or her own clothing and shoes appropriate to the season, age, activities and individual needs which are comparable to that of other children in the community.
- Individual space in the foster home shall be provided for the child's personal possessions and for a reasonable degree of privacy.
- Each child shall have the right to bring, possess and acquire personal belongings subject only to reasonable household rules and the child's service plan.
- Personal belongings shall be sent with the child when he or she leaves the home.
- Children shall only be expected to perform household tasks which are within their abilities, reasonable for their ages and similar to those expected of other household members of comparable age and ability.
- Children shall be given guidance in managing their own money.
- Money earned by a child or received as a gift or allowance shall be his or her personal property.
- A child shall not be required to use earned money to pay for room and board, unless it is a part of the service plan and approved by the parent or custodian and the agency.
- Children shall have the right to privacy in writing, sending or receiving correspondence unless restricted by the service plan.
- Children shall not be denied meals as punishment.
- Children shall not be subject to remarks which belittle or ridicule them or their families.
- Children shall have the right to visits with their families in accordance with their service plans.
- Children shall not be forced to acknowledge their dependency on the child placing agency or foster home or their gratitude to them.
- Children shall have opportunity for private conversation with the agency's staff members who are responsible for their supervision, either at their or the agency's request.
- Educational opportunities shall be provided for each child in foster care in accordance with hir or her plan of care.
