Resource Unit: Foster Care ICPC Section
Section Information

The Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) is an agreement enacted into law in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands which regulates the activities surrounding the foster care or relative placement of abused and/or neglected children across state lines. The central mission of the Oklahoma ICPC Section of the Resource Unit, Children and Family Services Division (CFSD) located in the OKDHS State Office in Oklahoma City is to provide centralized oversight of these placements and to ensure that child welfare staff adhere to ICPC guidelines when making interstate placements. Section personnel are also available when needed to attend staffings, trainings, and other meetings to provide advice and expertise on issues that may arise.
