Unit Information

The Protection, Services and Training Unit (PSTU) is a program unit within the Children and Family Services Division (CFSD) which is composed of Child Protective Services (CPS), Oklahoma Children's Services contract services, Family Centered Services, Child Protective Services Appeals and Child Welfare Training.

These program sections develop and implement policy, procedures and training for Child Welfare staff statewide to usewhen working with families and children. Policies, procedures and training are developed based on Oklahoma and federal statutory requirements and best practice research obtained from federal and national sources.

The goal of PSTU is to provide program guidelines, support and expertise to equip child welfare staff with the necessary skills to provide quality services for children and families.
