Administrative Services Unit: Fingerprint Processing Section
Section Information
The Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) Fingerprint Processing Section acts as a liaison between the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigaion (OSBI), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and entities required to provide background checks for Oklahoma foster care and adoption applicants. The Fingerprint Processing Section is located within the Division of Children and Family Services (CFSD), Administrative Services Unit (ASU).
The section secures OSBI background checks and FBI fingerprint checks for:
- child welfare and tribal foster care and adoptive applicants;
- child welfare volunteers;
- certain OKDHS Aging Services in-home care providers;
- potential employees of the OKDHS operated Shelters;
- non-OKDHS adoption applicants;
- international adoption applicants;
- periodic reviews of certain foster parents contracted through foster care agencies.
