The Information Systems Unit is responsible for providing information technology services for Finance and fiscal information for the Agency as a whole. This includes the development and support of claims processing, accounting, revenue tracking, cost allocating, and time/leave accounting. In addition this unit supports information technology needs associated with purchasing, consumable supply inventory, fixed asset management and construction tracking.
The unit manager directs the resources within the unit to perform the following functions:
- Application design and maintenance in response to requests received from agency-wide system users, including Web design and development
- Help desk, user security, administration, technical support and operations of the AS400
- Planning and policy
Since support of financial activities within the agency is a high priority of the Finance Division, most objectives have some component utilizing technology. This unit must function at a high rate of productivity while working to collaborate with the OKDHS Data Services Division and users of the finance system.
