  • OPRS handles all aspects of DHS:

    • Strategic Planning.
    • Business Planning.
    • Interpretation of data in the following publications:
      • DHS Annual Report and 
      • DHS Monthly Statistical Bulletins.
    • Data-driven research.
    • Statistical analysis of DHS programs and services.
    • Performance evaluation of DHS programs and services.
    • Other specialized services including:
      • Program evaluations;
      • Econometric forecasting and analysis;
      • Information support; and 
      • Survey instrument development.
    • Maintaining the OPRS web presence.
    • Creating and maintaining DHS statistical reports.
    • Sponsor the Practice and Policy Lecture Series.
    • Publish Practice and Policy Research Quarterly.
    • Oversee BEST Survey Tool and provide technical assistance and training.
