Office of Community and Faith Engagement
Office Information

The Office of Community and Faith Engagement (OCFE) promotes and supports volunteerism in collaboration with the private, nonprofit, and government sectors as a means of helping with real-life situations for DHS recipients. OCFE assists in collecting materials from communities statewide and distributes them to citizens in need. The office organizes various events throughout the year that are aimed at supporting the state’s most vulnerable citizens. The OCFE coordinates efforts around the State Charitable Campaign, Feed the Children, H.O.S.T.S. Literacy Program, Relay for Life, foster parent recruitment, prisoner re-entry, Newborns In Need, Back to School, Thanksgiving, Christmas and disaster relief.

OCFE assists Oklahoma’s poor and disadvantaged by establishing faith links, linking government with faith-based and community organizations to provide social services. The office recently coordinated the “Faith Engagement” Conference that focused on linking faith-based organizations with issues of substance abuse prevention and treatment.
