OKDHS WebMail Online Help

To access OKDHS WebMail, log on to any computer with an Internet connection and open a Web browser.

 

  • In the address bar, enter the text, webmail.okdhs.org
    OKDHS Webmail 2010 users should enter the text, webmail2010.okdhs.org/owa 
  • Choose Enter.

The OKDHS WebMail log on page will display.

 

  • Enter your OKDHS username and password. 
  • Choose the Log On button.

All users not using Internet Explorer 7.0, please skip this step.
Continue to the next step.

Internet Explorer 7 browser will display a Certificate Error message box. Several statements will appear within the message box.

 

  • Click on the statement "Continue to this website (not recommended)."

A Security Alert message box will appear, stating there is a problem with the site's security certificate.

Several statements will appear within the message box.

The question "Do you want to proceed?" will be displayed at the bottom.

 

  • Choose the Yes button.

  1. Shows the nubmer of messages that currently in the Inbox. Users can view up to 20 messages per displayed page. Users may move through pages by using the arrows immediately to the right of this display.
  2. Compose a new mail message.
  3. Move or Copy Selected Item(s)

  7. Forward Selected Item(s)
  8. Show/Hide Reading Pane (use the arrow to change the reading pane position)

How to Send an Attachment with Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2003
  • Choose the Attachments button.

The Attachments -- Web Page Dialog box will display.

 

  • Choose the Browse button to locate the document you want to attach.
  • Choose the Attach button.


The attachment(s) will display in the Current file attachments box.

 

  • Choose the Close button.

After closing the Attachments -- Web Page Dialog box, the added attachment(s) will appear to the right of the Attachments button.

How to View Another User's Calendar using Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2003

After you have successfully logged on to your mailbox, you have the ability to view another user's calendar.

 

  • Add the other user's name (username) followed by /calendar to the end of the Web address.
  • Choose Enter.

 

Example: http://webmail.okdhs.org/exchange/username/calendar

 


How to Use the Out of Office Assistance in Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2003
  • On the Outlook toolbar, choose Options.
  • On the Options screen, enter the text for your custom Out of Office message.
  • Choose the radio button that states, I'm currently out of the office.
  • Choose Save and Close at the top, and you will be returned to your mailbox.

Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2003 will Tell You When You Receive a New Message

Microsot Outlook Web Access 2003 will briefly pop up a small window in the bottom right corner when a new message arrives.

How to Recover a Deleted Item Using Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2003
  • Choose the Folders button on the Outlook toolbar to change to the folder view.
  • Choose the Deleted Items folder.
  • Choose the Recover Deleted Items button in the menu bar.
  • Select the item(s) you wish to recover.
  • Choose the Recover button.
  • Recovered items are returned to your Deleted Items folder.
  • To select a block of items, press and hold the Shift key while selecting the first and last names in the block. 
  • To select multiple random items, press and hold the Ctrl key while selecting items.
