This office coordinates policy development for OKDHS, serves as the liaison between OKDHS and other state agencies, including the Legislature and Govenor's office, provides oversight and support of the citizen advisory panels, liaison to the Oklahoma Health Care Authority, and chairperson of OKDHS' rate setting committee.
The Intergovernmental Relations Unit tracks house and senate bills of OKDHS interest. Staff in this unit also coordinate and chair the Rates and Standards Committee for OKDHS.
The Policy Unit provides technical assistance to program and administrative divisions regarding the development and maintenance of OKDHS policy. The unit also ensures OKDHS compliance with the Administrative Procedures Act. [75 O.S. § 250 et seq.]
