Mark Beutler is a Communications Manager for the OKDHS Office of Communications. On a daily basis he responds to inquiries from the media and helps put forth a positive public image of the OKDHS.
Beutler has spent the majority of his career in Oklahoma City’s media community, having worked in television, radio and print. For 19 years he was known as “Mark after Dark” on 96.1 KXY Radio. He was State Capitol Reporter for OETA, and throughout his career also worked at Channels 4, 5 and 9.
More recently, Beutler was Director of Communications for Oklahoma City Public Schools and the Oklahoma State Medical Association.
His state service includes a number of years at the Department of Transportation where he was a video production specialist and public information manager.
Beutler has also appeared in numerous commercials and print advertisements, including a national print ad in Oprah Magazine. He is a freelance writer for the Oklahoma Gazette and is active on the boards of several organizations including Oklahoma City’s “City Rep Theatre.” He is 2011 Chairman of Oklahoma’s single-largest fundraiser, “Red Tie Night.”
Awards include a “Best Commercial” from Clear Channel Communications, “Best Dressed in Oklahoma City” from the Journal Record and “Best On-Camera Performance” from the National Transportation Public Affairs committee.
Beutler is a native Oklahoman and lives in Oklahoma City.
