As a senior Web content editor, Kimbrell contributes to the day-to-day content of the OKDHS.org Web site and OKDHS InfoNet. She assists OKDHS divisions and offices in building and maintaining their Web presence.

Kimbrell joined the OKDHS Office of Communications in 2006 after working almost 7 years as a public affairs specialist in the United States Air Force. Specializing in journalism, Kimbrell was the editor of a weekly newspaper and monthly magazine where she was responsible for design and layout, story and photo assignments and editing of content. Kimbrell and her editorial staff have won Air Force command-level awards for best publication and best photo story layout. Kimbrell also has experience in media relations where she was part of a staff that handled public relations for massive personnel deployments to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Afghanistan and Iraq, several aircraft crashes, personnel deaths and environmental concerns. The staff won Air Force awards for response during crises. 

In 2007, Kimbrell and other OKDHS staff received a Governor's Commendation and an OKDHS Quality Award for their work on the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Web site re-launch. The effort also received an OKDHS Quality Award, and she was named one of OKDHS "Best of the Best" in 2007.

Kimbrell is pursuing her degree in journalism and criminal law. She has been married to her husband, Kenny for 4 years and has 3 children.
