Debra Martin is a Communications Manager in the Office of Communications for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. She began her career with OKDHS in July 2011.
Martin was a television producer for 30 years. A native of Lawton, she began her television career at KSWO before becoming a news producer at KFOR and KWTV. She has produced a nationally syndicated program on the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), and served as Producer/Director with the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA), where she produced the first high definition television program in Oklahoma. Her professional credits include an Emmy, a National Educational Telecommunications Association (NETA) Award, and an Oklahoma Associated Press (AP) Award.
At OKDHS, Martin researches and writes articles for both internal and external release, and produces video projects that promote the agency's mission and success stories. She is part of the team that develops relationships with the media and with OKDHS community partners.
Martin enjoys Presidential history and taking weekend roadtrips around the state.
She and her family make their home in Edmond.
