Beth Scott

Beth Scott is a Public Information Specialist for OKDHS who works on interior communications projects for DHS staff and exterior projects that involve providing information about agency projects and events.
Scott is an Oklahoma City native, a Casady School graduate and has a journalism/communications degree from Southern Methodist University. She also worked at newspapers in Oklahoma, Texas and Florida and for United Press International.
Scott operated her own public relations/publications business for 10 years while living in Florida and was Director of Communications for the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation and Public Information Director for the Habitat and Species Conservation division of Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Scott and her husband, Rocky, have a son, John, who is an attorney in Dallas, and a daughter, Sarah, who is a reporter in Dallas. Both are graduates of Southern Methodist University.
