Gov. Brad Henry appointed Robert D. “Bob” Rawlings of Edmond to the Oklahoma Commission for Human Services for a term that expires in 2016.
Rawlings served with the U.S. Air Force and with the Tennessee Army National Guard. He received his associate degree in nursing facility administration and is a licensed administrator.
Rawlings provided training and consultation services through Edmond-based Rawlings Consulting Services from 2002 to 2008. He was a consultant to the National Coalition on Mental Health and Aging and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration.
From 1985-2002, he was the director of the Aging Services Division of the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
Previously, he was a partner and owner in Vanguard Data Systems and Tel-A-Save, a computer hardware, software and telephone equipment sales and service company based in Durant.
