September 2012 Spirit of Service Award recipient: Amber Wolanski

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Amber Wolanski, a child support specialist in Oklahoma City, is the September 2012 OKDHS Spirit of Service award recipient.

Wolanski was recognized for her outstanding customer service to clients, coworkers and community. As a child support specialist, she works to improve the lives of children and parents and helps ensure that clients have a clear understanding of the child support process.

Along with providing help to her clients, Wolanski also lends support to her colleagues. She secretly organized an office fundraiser to purchase an iPad - and software - so a coworker's autistic daughter can continue to develop her communication skills. She also organized a donation drive for school supplies, collecting more than 150 backpacks full of items for local school children.

A native of Woodward, Wolanski started a charity organization to help dozens of families there who were adversely affected by devastating tornadoes earlier this year.

Wolanski's commitment to providing outstanding customer service and support to her clients, coworkers and community is an inspiring example of dedication and service.
